1. Xcaret Park - Take a look around Xcaret Park.
If you're a water baby, there's no better location to learn how to swim underwater than Xcaret's subterranean rivers. Xcaret, located on the Yucatán Peninsula, features one of the world's largest networks of caverns and subterranean rivers.
At Xcaret, you may swim in three separate subterranean rivers: the Mayan River, the Blue River, and the Manatee River, while exploring the strange coral formations, fossils, and tunnels.
We recommend the Blue River only if you and your travel companions are strong swimmers; the Manatee River is also not recommended for those who do not know how to swim; however, the Mayan River is ideal for those travelling with children or senior citizens and is suitable for those who do not know how to swim due to the lack of countercurrents.
Choose the Paradise River for a relaxing raft trip through the canals, caverns, and jungles, where you'll see blue crabs, peccaries, and iguanas, as well as other unexpected surprises.
Around the mangroves, where the three rivers meet to leap into the sea, you'll also find blush pink flamingos.
2. Xel-Ha Park — Take a stroll around Xel-Ha Park.
Xel-Ha Park is home to the world's biggest and most interesting natural aquarium. Since 1995, Xel-Ha has served as an example for sustainable tourism and development. When it rains, one of the great things to do in Cancun is to go to Xel-Ha Park, where the scorching afternoon sun rays are dragged down by the cool air that the rain provides.
In Xel-Ha, you may go snorkelling to see marine life or just relax with your spouse in the Xel-Ha Cave.
Do you want to try something new? Visit the Cliff of Courage, which gives tourists a cliff climbing experience as they claw their way to the top of the cliff via crevices, rocks, and ropes. All you have to do once you reach the top is hold hands and leap into the river's revitalising blue waters from a height of 5 metres.
The Xel-Ha park also includes jungle paths where visitors may take a stroll through the forest while enjoying the natural beauty and animals.

3. Dive Palau
This underwater museum includes around 500 installations, the majority of which are huge colossal sculptures that were mainly attached to the seabed in order to rebuild the reef structure and provide a grand size home for marine animals.
Because the sculptures are placed at a depth of 8 metres, the Underwater Museum of Art is best visited via scuba diving. If you wish to have a full-fledged diving experience, you may take a few courses and certificates from the MUSA teAM itself, or you can just play about in the shallow blue waters.
4. Chichén Itzá
Chichén Itzá, in the Yucatán Peninsula, is made up of intricate historical structures. Chichén Itzá's architecture is a combination of Puuc, Mayan, and Toltec building styles. Visiting Chichén Itzá, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is one of the most enjoyable things to do in Cancun, particularly if you like ancient monuments or are travelling with children. So, make a point of visiting this location on your next vacation to Mexico to discover one of the finest things to do in Cancun with kids!
The Toltecs built El Castillo (The Castle), also known as the PyrAMid of Kukulcan, which rises 79 feet tall above the Main Plaza and is one of the Seven Wonders of the World.
The MesoAmerican ball court may also be found here. When you stand on the platform of the Temple of Jaguars, you can hear a quiet whisper even if you're 150 feet away.

5. Xoximilco
This location is located on the Cancun-Chetumal highway, only five minutes from the Cancun International Airport. If you want to have a good time in Mexico while learning about traditional Mexican culture, visiting Xoximilco at night is the greatest thing to do in Cancun, particularly if you only have a limited amount of time.
When you arrive at Xoximilco, you'll be drawn into a typical Mexican Carnival with games like darts, foosball, and marble games, among many others.
As the day draws to a close, get aboard a brightly painted Mexican Gondola for a night of Mexican music, dancing, cuisine, and fun. While on the boat, they will also transport you through the Park's waterways, where you will witness magnificent architectural buildings set in the middle of breathtaking natural landscapes.
On Tuesdays and Fridays, Xixomilco throws ‘90s themed parties. If you're a fan of the 1990s, be sure you arrange your visit appropriately.
