Inspiring Native American Nail Art Designs: A Guide for Everyone

Are you in the mood for something vibrant, classy, and trending at the same time? Well, if you think, getting all these three on a single plate is not possible, we are here to change your opinion on that! The gorgeous Native American nail art will surely leave anyone bewitched.

If you are a beginner and never tried your hands at nail art before then you can go through this piece we have written for you! It is super easy and relevant to nail art enthusiasts.

Native American Nail Art

Begin with preparing the nails

Before you design your Nails, no matter what kind of design you are opting for, preparing the nails is an essential component of nail art that should not be skipped. Whether you are heading to the parlor or whether you are planning to do it at home, do not forget to clean your nails properly and prepare them for nail art. Remove any old nail polish which is present on the surface of the nails.

If your nails are clean, simply use a cotton ball dipped in acetone to sweep across your nails anyway. If your nails have grown longer, you can trim them. However, do not trim it too short because the longer the nail, the easier it is for you to make the designs. After cleaning and trimming, you can apply the base coat to the nails finally.

The purpose of applying a base coat is that the nails will be prevented from incurring any stain on the surface. Once you have applied the first layer of the base coat, wait for it to dry up completely. There are different kinds of base coats in the market that you can purchase. Choose the one you like the most.

What kind of designs are best for beginners

As a beginner, you should give a try to something easy to make! Whether stripes, polka dots, or so on, do not go for something too complicated as you may easily get it smudged due to lack of expertise. The best thing to do is begin with a tip. Once your tips look flawless, you will be able to move to the center and the base slowly. As we said, the base coat layer needs to be applied first.

A maximum of two layers of base coat is enough to do the job. You can place a sticker on the nails and then design the tips with your favorite shade. If you don't have these French manicure stickers at home and instead you can manage to do it by yourself, then go ahead. If you are using a sticker then remove the sticker when the paint is still wet. Now you can allow the tips to dry off! Proceed to do a Native American design that you find fascinating.

How to apply a jewel or embellishment to your nails

If you want your nails to look even more dazzling and gorgeous then you should go ahead and apply the jewel or embellishments to your nail bed. Apply a base coat of the shade that you prefer and then you should allow the polish to dry off.

Now you need nail gel or glue to stick the embellishments to the surface of the nails. You may use a tweezer to get a grip on the jewels or the stone and place it effortlessly on your nails. Then you should leave the nails for some time so that the glue dries up.

Apply another top coat and the design will be done. If your Native American nail art design needs jewels and embellishments then go ahead and follow this technique.

How to do the glitter effect

In case you are following a nail art design of Native American origin but with a glittery effect then go ahead and follow the technique that we have penned down for you. It will certainly make your job easier as a beginner.

All you need to do is mix dust glitter of shimmering powder with the nail gel or polish that you have in hand. Once you have applied the gel and allowed it to dry off, you can put on the fresh topcoat to give a smooth finish to your nails.

How to design the polka dots

Making polka dots is the easiest nail art pattern to make! All you need to do is use the back of your toothpick to make the dots. Generally, you need two colors, one for the base and one for the dots to make the design. Begin with the application of the base coat color and then you can make the dots easily. Many designs that you will come across will have some dots on them.
